What are the Duties of PR officer Fourth Ranking in the club Responsible for developing and directing the publicity for the club Inform individuals and general public about Toastmasters Developing the Social Media and keep website up to date But, all club officers and members can help with publicity . You need to give them some tools to help. Download ‘Finding members for your club’ from Toastmasters international (you will need to login)

Websites Eventbrite Go to meeting - Meet Up (clubs with a clear geographical area) These have been the best in cost - time /benefit for Linlithgow Facebook and other Social Media

Posters and Flyers Local Community Centre and Notice Boards Libraries – see if they have a diary of events Cafes Carry out take away shops (where people are waiting) Doctors and Dentist waiting rooms Church notice boards Give them a Toastmasters magazine – with a sticker on the front with your contact details

Think Who should have gone to Toastmasters Teachers and lecturers Church leaders Young people (18 years old) and Youth leaders Business Start ups Students Politicians Women in Business

Create an email Start do you know someone who is terrified of speaking in public …. Have a link to other clubs in the area (give people options) Refer to Communication and Leadership skills Promote a Speechcraft workshop

When you get new members Give them a ‘Welcome pack’ Give them an old Toastmasters Magazine Get their contact details and send a personal message before your next meeting Offer them a mentor (this is a leadership project)
