Where was Louis Riel born LOUIS Riel was born on a cold winter night, October 22ND in 1844. louis was born in saint Boniface hospital. Fun fact: ethans mom works there, so when he went there once. There was a hall with famous people who were born or died in that hospital. That’s where he was born!

What was Louis Riel known for? Louis Riel is known because he stood for the right of the metis, he led the red river rebellion against john a macdonald. Then he got hanged for treason, he also is a founder of Manitoba.

The Many Roles in Louis Riel’s Life. Louis has many roles in his life. He is a leader to the Red River Rebellion who we talked about earlier, He taught as a teacher at a school named St. Peter’s Mission in Montana, And he also murdered a man named Thomas Scott which led him to flee the country and go to USA, when he returned he went to Politics and won a seat in the House of Commons 3 times. He is also a father of 2. So basically he has been a Politician, Teacher, Leader, Murderer, And a Father!

The Red River Rebellion The Red River Rebellion were a Metis Group who were a Government who would fight for the rights of the Metis to have rights to what others would have like houses and food and trades.
