Health On-Line Patient Education Web Site UWMC On-Line UWMC’s Health On-Line, managed by Patient and Family Education Services, is an inventory and distribution system for patient education materials available in the medical center. This database provides ready-to-print (full-text) versions of UWMC-authored patient education materials and helps you locate education tools to address your patients’ unique needs. http://healthonline.washington.edu Features What you can find on Health On-Line Quick Search Screen Material Descriptions in Three Search Views Title Abstract Screen Full Record Screen Summary Screen Quick Search: type a word or phrase in the box provided and select “go” button. This searches the title, abstract, specific subject and general topics fields. General Topics Search: select a topic from the general topics list. Advanced Search: choose specific details for one or more of the following: title, author, publisher, department, abstract, publication date, language, audience, format, specific subject, general topic, or full-text. Easy-to-use Search Options Full Text Documents in up to Nine Languages Ready-to-print English versions of UWMC-authored documents are available directly from a Search Results screen. This full text may be viewed on screen, printed at your workstation, and bookmarked on your Web browser for quicker access. Ready-to-print non-English translations are also available (see the blue language buttons on the search record). These translations may be printed as you need, kept as a master copy for your department, and also bookmarked. The Translations catalog includes the Materials Management order number and is accessible through the “Translations” menu tab. This will be linked directly to Materials Management in the future for easy ordering of non-English materials.
