Audience There will be a range amount of people that will attend this benefit. The youngest that a person can be is 21 because of the serving of alcohol. The average age would be 50+. There would be more females then males ratio would be 2:1

Location The event will take place at the Westin convention center in Pittsburgh. The event will take place in the Allegany II & III ball room on the third floor.

Budget One thing that I will do is communicate with the vendors and try to get them to donate as much as they can for the event. In return of the donations I will put their company name in the program book and also have their names announced at the event. Estimated budget cost will be around $75,000 for food, gifts, and other costs with the vendors.

Volunteers There will be many volunteers that will help out through out the event. Most of the volunteers will be sisters of Zeta Tau Alpha from the near by chapters such as Duquesne, Robert Morris,IUP and Steel City Alumni chapter. Also there will be some volunteers from the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation helping out as well.

anticipation Because this is open to the public I will have public service announcements on local radio stations about the event and how to get the tickets. Most of the tickets will be sold thru the Susan G. Komen website. I will also have information posted on both the Zeta Tau Alpha and Susan G.Komen websites to promote. There will be news paper ads in the event section of the Pittsburgh paper.

Arrival Guests will arrive and have valet parking. Everyone is recommended to wear pink attire. For the celebrities that will be going to the event they will be picked up at the airport with a limo and one of the volunteers will escort them to the hotel safely. Hotel rooms will be paid for all celebrities.

Atmosphere As you can tell the theme is pink. There will be a pink carpet entrance to make the guests feel wanted and appreciated that they came. There will be signs to direct the guests where to go. It will be kind of complicated because they have to go to the third floor so there will be signs in pink showing where to go. Once they enter the room will be decorated in all sorts of colors of pink and white.

Appetite When each guest receives their ticket they will also have a postcard that they will have to fill out and return. This will be the menu choices they can pick from. Menu: Hors D'Oeuvre Baby Bella Mushrooms Stuffed with Italian Sausage Bruschetta Imported Cheese and crackers main dishes: Grilled Sweet and Spicy Salmon Fillet Grilled Chicken Breasts with a Wild Mushroom, Sundried Tomato, White Wine and Basil Sauce vegetable lasagna dessert: individual cakes in the shape of breast cancer ribbon chocolate covered strawberries Alcohol~ there will be Champaign, wine, and ice tea served. For every 3 tables there will be 1 server to watch guests.

activities During the event there will be a Chinese and silent auction. Geralyn Lucas will speak about her experience and her book and movie A special movie premiere of her movie “why I wore lipstick” will be shown at the event. For people that have came from other locations the day before there will be tours and maps if they want to travel around Pittsburgh themselves to go to the different museums. This will be on their expenses though.

Auctions! The Chinese auction will be different things donated by local companies such as restaurants. They will be announced during the event. You must be present to get the gift. Each chapter that is volunteering will also make a basket that will be auctioned off. One example of what would be included would be a breast cancer fleece blanket made by a sister. The silent auction would be bigger things such as tickets to Steelers games( zeta tau alpha teamed up with NFL teams to raise the awareness),ford test drive, ford tour, spas, and many others.

Amenities As you walk into the event each guest will be given a pink bracelet that says “think pink in pink”. For people that chose to stay over night there will be a fruit basket in the room. As people leave each guest will receive a gift bag that has a breast cancer ribbon stress toy,lip dip,a pen shaped in the form of a ribbon, a key chain in the shape of a pink ribbon. The volunteers will be given t-shirts that say the words “think pink in pink benefit 2007.” and on the back it will say “we support the cause!” they will also get small gifts from the Zeta Tau Alpha foundation(if they are Zetas) or cute breast cancer items for a thanks.

Remember with Dream Catcher Events “we make your event a dream come true!”
