O God, Our Help in Ages Past *Opening Hymn O God, Our Help in Ages Past Hymnal #117 Used By Permission. CCLI License # 11148194

Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home:

Under the shadow of your throne your saints have dwelt secure; sufficient is your arm alone, and our defense is sure.

Before the hills in order stood or earth received its frame, from everlasting you are God, to endless years the same.

A thousand ages in your sight are like an evening gone, short as the watch that ends the night before the rising sun.

Time, like an ever-rolling stream, soon bears us all away; we fly forgotten, as a dream dies at the opening day.

Our God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come, still be our guard while troubles last, and our eternal home!

Today we celebrate the way you have brought us through the storms of the past… We give thanks for the way you have provided for us an eternal home. Alleluia!...  *Opening Prayer

We give thanks for the way you are our guide in life, in death and in life after death. We place our trust in You. Lead us onward together as a congregation, a community and as individuals. Amen. *Opening Prayer

Scripture Reading John 3:16-17 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

*Affirmation of Faith Romans 8, Hymnal #887 Leader: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution or famine, or nakedness or peril or sword?

People: No! In all things we are more than conquerors through the One who loved us. We are sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation,

will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Thanks be to God! Amen. Leader: This is good news which we have received, in which we stand, and by which we are saved:

People: Christ died for our sins, was buried, was raised on the third day, and appeared first to the women, then to Peter and the Twelve, and then to many faithful witnesses. We believe Jesus is the Christ the Anointed One of God, the first born of all creation,

the firstborn from the dead, in whom all things hold together, in the fullness of God was pleased to dwell by the power of the Spirit. Christ is the head of the body, the church, and by the blood of the cross reconciles all things to God, Amen.

Be Thou My Vision *Hymn Hymnal #451 Used By Permission. CCLI License # 11148194

Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart; naught be all else to me, save that thou art;  Thou my best thought, by day or by night, Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;  I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord; Thou my great Father, and I thy true son, Thou in me dwelling, and I with thee one.

Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise; Thou mine inheritance, now and always; Thou and thou only, first in my heart, High King of heaven, my treasure thou art.

High King of heaven, my victory won, May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's Sun! Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.

Please join us for refreshments in the hospitality room. Benediction Please join us for refreshments in the hospitality room.
