Luciano Pavarotti Opera Singer
Luciano Pavarotti was born in 1935 in Modena, Italy.
As a child, his parents encouraged him to sing. They gave him voice lessons, but insisted he continue his formal education.
After winning several important competitions, he made his operatic debut playing Rodolfo in La Boheme in 1961.
In 1963, Luciano gave his first internationally televised performance.
In 1965, Pavarotti had his debut in the United States in Miami, Florida in a production of Lucia di Lammermoor.
he received his first Grammy award. In 1978, he received his first Grammy award.
Pavarotti was in a popular group called “The Three Tenors” with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.
Pavarotti performed opera for more than 40 years.
At the age of 70, he decided to retire so he went on a Farewell Tour. Unfortunately, he became seriously ill. He died in 2006 in his hometown of Modena.
