What is the Bessemer process? “Henry Bessemer developed the first process for mass producing steel inexpensively.” (Bessemer Process) pg.1 paragraph 1 “Bessemer Process [for Sir Henry Bessemer], industrial process for the manufacture of steel from molten pig iron. Economic impacts Positives: It cost less money to make the steel - The price to buy the steel dropped. - Allowed steel to become the dominant . material for large construction.
Economic Impacts Negatives: Got replaced by the basic by the basic process in 1968
