VIGIL ANTISLIP - MADE TO LAST All Vigil Antislip products share a manufacturing process that puts it in a class of its own in the slip-control arena. Every step of the process is quality controlled, and only the highest quality raw materials are used.

STEEL FOUNDATION In splash zones and acidic areas, 1.2mm Grade 316 (Marine grade) Stainless Steel is used as the substrate. In all other areas, 1.2mm AZ150 Colorbond Steel is used. The 1.2mm gauge has been selected as it avoids the flexing that can cause the antislip material to delaminate. The 1.2mm gauge also requires less fixing points than thinner gauges, and provides sufficient impact resistance.

FABRIC MEDIUM The use of a floating fabric medium eliminates the delamination problems caused by applying resin directly to the substrate. High resistance to impact and thermal expansion differentials is achieved. A key coat of resin is first applied, making the fabric an integral part of the resin system. This increases the tensile strength whilst providing allowance for differences in thermal expansion rates.

RESIN SYSTEM All layers hand laminated, not sprayed. Hand rolled to ensure no air bubbles or pinprick holes. Cured at optimum temperature and humidity in a controlled environment. Resistant to all solvents, petroleum products and acid solutions.

AGGREGATE Silicone Carbide (SiC) with Mohs hardness rating of used. Non-wearing crystalline structure of SiC ensures extreme durability. Prior to final coat of resin, all aggregate is removed from edges and edges sealed. This prevents chipping during transportation or installation, which can leave bare steel edges.
