Valley Forge Winter of 1777-1778 Had just lost several battles beforehand. Never actually a battle. Led by George Washington Leading 11,000 men The American Continental Army was short on supplies in the Valley Forge. Harsh winter Little food Short on clothing American soldiers eventually survived the hard times. Continued on to New Jersey This experience ended up making the army stronger and better soldiers out of all of them.
