Symbolism Practice Read “The Scarlet Ibis” on pg. 343-354 Answer the following: Identify and explain the full setting of the story. Who is narrating the story? What point of view is being used? How do you know? Characterize both the narrator and Doodle. A COMPLETE characterization. In what ways is the scarlet ibis a symbol for Doodle? Use clear details from the story to support your answer.
