Circle Equation The equation of a circle is related to the distance formula How could you find the length of the radius of a circle if you are given the center and a point on the circle The distance formula Should this distance ever change No The distance formula is the equation of a circle, just with different variables to mean different things

Equation R is the radius, not r^2 (h,k) is the center of the circle You take the opposite of what is inside the parenthesis to get the h and k value
