Training Info

Training gear Pink vest Togs Full wetsuit Wetsuit pants Wetsuit Top Wetsuit shorts Running shorts & shirt Watch. Water bottle If cold day – warm clothes for after training

Training protocols Open to all Omanu members ( Oceans – passed 200m swim badge, Snrs have their Bronze) Adhere to all Club, squad & training requirements. Attend all sessions you have signed up to. Anyone can compete at Nationals (attend target competitions to make teams, minimum patrol hours have to be completed) I monitor beach conditions and will not let an athlete go out when I consider it to be inappropriate. (Any athlete can choose not to participate)

The session time is the start time - arrive at least 10minutes before so you are on the beach with appropriate gear, ready to go at the start time. Omanu Beach will be the main training venue. We adapt the sessions to suit weather as much as possible - if there is a change parents/athletes will receive an email/txt to inform them. Look after each other and the gear Sign in and sign out system
