OBJECTIVES Create original, innovative and breakthrough programme concepts with PSB values for vernacular content on Toggle Grow the online reach by producing exclusive PSB content on Toggle, ensuring that Suria & Vasantham will be the leading content of choice for the Malay & Indian viewers respectively Examples: Date Gone Wrong: VR experience for CNA was filmed using one single 10-minute shot. Viewers will be immersed in the action around them (screams, equipment fails, hacks etc) also with the help of spatial sound. BASIS FOR PROPOSAL 1) What is currently lacking on Suria and Vasantham? Though both channels have strong PSB content on their FTA platforms, they lack standalone content on the Toggle digital platform. The current digital content are web extensions that are linked to the content on FTA. 2) What would be the outcome from this PCFS? The main outcome of this PCFS is to commission Toggle exclusive content in Malay and Tamil and build an audience online for these exclusive clips. The main target audience for these content will be the millennials and the aim is to create innovative content to engage them through multiple touchpoints/platforms.
PRIMARY AUDIENCE Demographics & Psychographics: Broad Range of viewers (male & females, 18-34yrs old) Tech Savvy & Mobile Generation Online - watch content from all over the world 85% feel that keeping up with the news is important & they want to be educated with nuggets of information that is not heavily processed. THINGS TO NOTE PSB Values must be clearly articulated Production house is free to propose Format, number of episodes and duration best suited for the concept on the respective platforms Budgets are inclusive of all content components, not limited to series & episodic trailers and additional footage / extensions / extra videos Producers for all PCFS commissioned programmes need to be a registered media company. Registration can be done after the producers received confirmation from Mediacorp that their project has been selected Have at least 50% of Singaporean key creative personnel (including, for example, the Production Staff, cameraman, soundman)
