Prefix Vocabulary: super-, sur- over, above, beyond

Superb (adjective): splendid; excellent; beyond the expected Michael Jordan

Superimpose (verb): to lay or place over something else

Superintendent: a person with the highest power, power above everyone else’s

Superior (adjective): above average in quality; excellent

Supervisor (noun): a person who stands over or above someone in rank; a manager in charge of someone else

Surcharge (noun): an amount of money (charge) over and above what is already being paid

Surplus (noun): something that is beyond what is expected

Surreal (adjective): beyond what is real or believable; bizarre

Surtax (noun): an extra tax beyond the normal tax

Surprise (noun): something that is beyond what is expected
