What is the Sacrament of Reconciliation about? It is about forgiveness of our sins once we are able to recognize and be sorry for them. It is not about us being bad; it’s about God being so good. It reconciles us to God and helps us reconcile with one another so that our lives can be full. Confessing our sins to a priest who God works through to forgive us. Holy Family’s First Reconciliation Preparation The First Reconciliation preparation primarily happens in the home. The parish gives support to both parents and children through parent meetings and one workshop. Families work through the student book at home using the Family Guide. Do not fear!…we are here to help. Parent as the primary source of the faith. We could do this, but it is the parent’s job to do this. We help. (suggested saying by Fr. Rob)

Please bring them to the Final Preparation or to the parish office. Student Books will be returned at the Reconciliation Service
First Reconciliation Prep Schedule First Parent/Child Workshop September 13th from 6:30-8:00 PM – Legacy Final Preparation Workshop November 8th – 6:30-8:00 PM – Church First Reconciliation Service Saturday, November 11th – 10:30 AM – Church (please be prompt) Attendance: If participation becomes an issue, then I may ask the family to wait until a later year/date to continue to prepare for this sacrament. If family issues, health/death, occur, please let me know. Reconciliation Service: Feel free to bring the whole family. You can even invite grandparents. Everyone will have the opportunity to celebrate the sacrament. The service is prayed together at the beginning and then individual confessions precede. Attendance is expected at each meeting. If you are not able to make it, a phone call or email prior to the meeting would be greatly appreciated.
