Agenda: Main Chicken Waffle Slider Grab & Go Pepperoni Pizza Sides Edamame Veggie, Fruit Prayer Do Now: Copy and define key terms and people from chapter 22.2 Read and discuss chapter 22.2 Homework: Finish key terms and people from Ch 22.2 if you didn’t finish in class. Chapter 22.2 The Spanish American War The Beginning of the War – What caused this war? What were the goals of each country involved? (pg 607-698) The Results of the War: Cuba – What happened in the end? Explain the Teller Amendment and the Platt Amendment. (698, 700-701) Puerto Rico and the Philippines: How were the results for these two territories similar? How did gaining these territories benefit the United States? (701-702) Attach a world map. Use google draw to draw circles and label the territories that the U.S. gained as a result of the Spanish-American War.
