Food Science and Technology Sensory Evaluation Triangle Test
What is the Triangle Test? There will be 3 samples. 2 samples are exactly the same. The 3rd sample will be different. Participants are expected to identify the different sample through aroma, visual cues or textural differences.

What is the Triangle Test? At the district & state contest there will be 5 Triangle Tests worth 15 points each You are not required to swallow the samples Samples may be any of the following: Food Beverage Prepared Solutions (ex. BBQ Sauce)

How the Triangle Test is set up There will be 5 stations set up. Participants will stand in 5 lines. The 1st person in line will be the only one performing the Triangle Test. When that person is finished they will fill out a scantron with the correct answer. The next person in line will come forward and a new set of samples will be given to them. There is no time limit.
