RULES PRE-MASTER / TRANSFER MINOR (1) Maximum of two attempts per course Within two blocks / quartiles (excluding re-sits of block 1B/2B) at least 20 ECs Within four blocks / quartiles (the first year) the entire generic part (30 ECs) successfully completed Only allowed to start ‘Pre-master research practical’ if successfully completed ‘Academic writing’ and a minimum grade of 5 for ‘Research Methodology and Descriptive Statistics’ Only allowed to start the module that prepares for the Master’s specialization if successfully completed generic part and written test in the summer The module that prepares for the Master’s specialization must be achieved at the first attempt (repair under conditions) If the student does not meet these requirements the student is excluded from further following courses (with which the pre-master is terminated).

Transfer minor students: in case of a positive binding recommendation but not having completed all courses in one semester: consult study adviser for continuation

STUDYING AT THE UT (DIFFERENT FROM ‘HBO’) Study load / Way of studying amount and tempo higher level more thorough, stricter standard more application / generalization than reproduction → start in the first week → don’t underestimate (especially in case of known topics) → prepare lectures → find your own way of recapitulation → practice questions → review your test afterwards You’re told how / where to find information, but need to find it yourself Study adviser (mostly on your initiative)

Osiris ENROLMENT courses & exams REGISTRATION IN OSIRIS IS MANDATORY  you are automatically registered for the first (1st) attempt of the course’s exam! In case you decide NOT to use this 1st attempt, you should de-register from the exam via Osiris! Deregister timely, i.e. till 1 day before the exam date (read: till 24:00h. of the day prior to the exam date).
