Blame Game Discussion If someone has a good idea, like Ralph’s idea to have a signal fire on the mountain, how responsible is that person for things going terribly wrong? How much do you hold a leader accountable for what happens on his or her watch? For instance, in Chapter 4, when the signal fire goes out, how much of that is Ralph’s fault? When something negative happens as a result of a large group, how much responsibility falls on followers? To what extent should we be expected to think for ourselves? Most people wouldn’t blame a two year old for setting the house on fire, but we would blame a 20 year old for the same action. At what age should we hold ourselves accountable for our actions and inactions? To what extent do you blame the adult world for the disappearance of the boy? If you were to reconsider this, what percentage of the blame do they have for his disappearance?
Ch. 6 Quote WS You have 5 minutes. 2 minutes per quote. Each person should start off a different quote.
