A figure of eight stich is passed using the 70° SlingShot suture passer (Stryker, Kalamazoo, MI) via the modified anterior portal. The first pass is through the acetabular-sided capsular limb and the suture is then released from the device. The device is passed in the femoral-sided limb directly across from the previous pass and the suture is then retrieved. This process is then repeated traveling approximately 1 cm from the first pass to complete the figure of eight suture configuration.
