Vocabulary Thunder-a loud sound Storm-a type of weather Lightning-comes from the sky Thunder-a loud sound Storm-a type of weather Flashes-light going on and off Rolling-when lightning is coming Pounds-something that hits the ground Pours-rain falling hard

Main Idea The main idea is about a cat bringing kittens into Jonathon’s house.

Make a connection We all like kitten like Jonathon.

Characters and Setting The characters are Jonathon , his grandparents , 3 kittens , and a cat . The setting is at Jonathan’s house on a rainy day.

Fact The cat brought kittens into Jonathon’s house.

Opinion We all like cats because they are cute.

Cause and Effect Since it rained the cat had to bring kittens into Jonathan’s house.

Draw a conclusion I thought the cat ran out of the house because she had to bring something back.

Compare and Contrast Kittens are small ,but cats are big . They are the same type of animal.

Genre Realistic Fiction It tells events that can happen in real life like a storm.

Author’s purpose It is Entertain because the characters don’t look real.
