Canaan – The Promised Land of The Jewish People In the Covenant with God, Abraham and his descendents(Jews) were promised the land of Canaan in return for worshipping God and only God as their Almighty God and Creator. Exodus Moses played in a key role in the Biblical Story of Exodui Moses was born in Egyptian royalty, but eventually helped lead the enslaved Israelites out of Egypt. According to scripture, Moses led the Israelites out of Egyptian enslavement by “parting” the Red Sea at the Sinai Penisula. Thereafter, Moses led the Israelites through the desert for 40 years while God provided them with food from the heavens.
