(Visit college websites) Review Your High School Courses - Have you met college requirements? Take College Entrance Exam – What score do you need in order to attend the college of your choice? Take SAT - Go to www.sat.org to register Take ACT - Go to www.act.org to register Take Accuplacer - For technical colleges or 2-year colleges (After you apply to attend a technical college or a 2-year college, contact the college and make an appointment to take the Accuplacer!) Go to www.gafutures.org and create a GAFutures Account – Are you eligible for the HOPE Scholarship? (The Georgia Student Finance Commission will decide if you’re eligible for the HOPE Scholarship---not ECHS.) Submit College Applications Go to www.gafutures.org to submit a college application OR Use the Common App https://www.universitylanguage.com/guides/the-common-application OR Use a School-Specific Application (Visit the college website) Send Your Transcript to the College(s) – See Mrs. Dekle (the school registrar) for a Transcript Request Form Submit Your FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) – For 2019-2020, the window to apply for financial aid opens October 1, 2018! https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa Use 2017 Income Tax Information on the 2019-2020 FAFSA Begin Your Scholarship Search What colleges interest you?
