Cougar Time Clubs College Street ES Fall 2018

Lego Club K - 1st Mrs. Buttrill and Mrs. Scott RM 4 We will use legos to explore different designs and structures.

Board Games Club K-2 Mrs. Puccio & Mrs. Brown RM 6 The Board Game Club will give you the opportunity to increase your reading and math skills in a fun and challenging way.

Stories and Songs K - 2 Mrs. Rick & Ms. Brosi Music RM Students will combine music and songs with stories. They will add sound effects to stories, tell stories through singing, and create songs from stories.

TEAM K - 5 Mrs. Head and Mrs. Kong RM 21 Students will do many team building activities and synergize to solve exciting problems.

Chess Club K - 5 Mrs. Flores, Mrs. Stell and Ms. Ramirez Rm 22 Any student interested in learning how to play chess is welcome to join, and those who may already know how to play will be able to practice under official UFCS rules. All CSE Chess Club members will also be open to joining the Lewisville/Coppell community team: North Texas Dark Knights.

Drawing and Painting Club K - 5 Mrs. Loyd & Mrs. Townsend Art Room Students will have the opportunity to try a variety of media to create artwork. Personal choice of projects will be encouraged.

Puzzlemania! K - 5 Mrs. Nicholson, Mrs. Carrillo & Ms. Pettigrew Library Students will think critically and collaborate with others while solving a variety of puzzles and thinking games such as Colorku, Kenken, and LaserMaze.The activities will give students opportunities to explore different types of thinking, including, but not limited to, coding, problem solving, process of elimination, and more!

Creative Movement 1-2 Mrs. Born and Mrs. Martin Rm 23 Students will improve their flexibility and strength by dancing to music.

The Design Club (Lego Club) 2 - 4 Mrs. Elgin, Mrs. Garcia, Mrs. Worley RM 3 You will have the opportunity to synergize while working through the design process to create using legos. We will use video reflections when finished.

Yogi Kids 3 - 5 Ms. Smith RM 7 Kids will participate in the Yogi Kids program. This will emphasize relaxation, stretching, and reflection. We will sharpen the saw after a long week of learning.

Cooking with Cougars 3 - 5 Ms. Stika and Ms. Adkins RM 24 Future chefs will learn how to create snacks with healthy habits in mind! Each time we meet, we will create a healthy snack and build a recipe book for you to share with your family.

Gym Games Club 3rd - 5th Coach Melton and Ms. Davis Gym Students will participate in a variety of PE games that place emphasis on teamwork, in game strategies, as well as good sportsmanship.

Robotics 3-5 Mrs. Kirby and Ms. Pirkey STEM Lab Students will use Lego Mindstorm to explore simple programming. They will build, test, evaluate and modify robot design. Students will access, create and share information using digital technology tools.
