Helps prepare students for the rigors of college academics Waives difficult “Freshman Weed-out” classes. Students graduate from college one and a half years earlier, entering the workforce sooner, with thousands in salary gained.

It Takes Careful Planning Check a box for a class in each area. Classes can only be used once, accept those noted in the Diversity area.

“I’m just going to work on my generals.” A Potential Problem…. What Major? “I’m just going to work on my generals.” Students enter college as a sophomore. They must be prepared to declare a major. Log on to Utahfutures.org and establish a list of potential careers and majors.

Potential Pitfalls….. High school students taking CE classes are establishing a college GPA. Low grades can negatively affect admissions to selective undergraduate programs or gradate schools such as: Medical School Dental School Law School Nursing Business

Potential Pitfalls….. STEM major students with the LOC may face challenges their first year in college, as some LOC classes are often used to lighten a difficult schedule.
