1. Discovering fire Prehistoric people discovered how to make fire. They discovered fire by chance when lightening caused a fire.

1. Discovering fire Cavemen made fire by rubbing two pieces of wood together or by rubbing two flint stones together.

2. Uses of fire Prehistoric people used fire to shed light in the dark, to warm themselves and to cook their food

3. Paleolithic Ages Paleolithic people lived in caves. They illuminated their caves with bonfire.

3. Paleolithic Ages They didn´t have cooking utensilies, they cooked with sticks and bones. They used grasses and plants to keep fire going.

4.Neolithic Ages Neolithic people lived in huts in villages.

4. Neolithic Ages They used fire to cook, to warm themselves, to illuminate their huts and to make pottery. They used pots to cook and they developed important cooking methods.

5. Bronze and Iron Ages Bronze and Iron Ages people lived in villages sorrounded by walls.

5. Bronze and Iron Ages They used fire to illuminate their homes and villages, to cook, to warm themselves and to melt iron. They made big iron pots to cook more soup or stew at the same time..

5. Bronze and Iron Ages They continued improving cooking methods. They invented the first stone ovens where they baked bread.
