Presentation transcript:

Weekly Newsletter 9-14-18 Weekly Homework: Sight Words This week. . . We are learning about 2D shapes this week. We are talking about their attributes, writing about them in journals, and learning about them in small groups. In reading we are learning about different types of texts and how to warm up a book. We guess what the book is about and take a picture walk before we read. We also Celebrated Dot Day today by reading, The Dot by Peter Reynolds. Even kindergarteners can make their mark in the world. (Especially kindergartners!) We finished our Baby Animal books and are ready to publish them. We will share them with parents during conference week. I know you will be amazed! Congratulations to Elizabeth and Frederik for finishing Kinder Keys! Way to go! If you haven’t finished, please do so as soon as possible. We want to be able to send books home with everyone! We are celebrating Constitution Day on Monday. We are asking that everyone wear red, white, and/or blue! Save the date: 9/21 at 8:30 am we are having our Fundations Parade. We will send home more information next week. Have a great weekend! Important Dates: 9/15 East Cobb Parade 9/19 Adventures in Art 9/18 Sprit Night at Chick-fil-A 9/20 Custodial Staff Appreciation Day 9/21 Fundations Parade 9/24 – 9/28 Fall Break Weekly Homework: Sight Words Kinder Keys or Reading Folders Thank you to Olivia’s mom, Sutton’s mom, and Ruve’s mom for coming in and being our fabulous Center moms this week. They did sink or float and didn’t even blink an eye. Kindergarteners and water – enough said. Thank you to Connor’s family for sending in a birthday treat. Happy Birthday Connor! Thank you to Ruve’s mom for reading to our class. The students had a great time.
