ELEMENTS OF ART Shape, Form, and Space
Shape A shape is a two-dimensional area that is defined in some way. A shape may have an outline or a boundary around it
Shape Two types of shapes 1. Geometric shape- precise shapes that can be described using mathematical formulas. 2. Organic shape- irregular and uneven shapes.
What type of Shape?
Form Forms are objects having three-dimensions. Length + Width+ Depth = Form ( Forms can be geometric or organic also)
Space Space is the emptiness or area between, around, above, below, or within shapes and forms.
Space Two Types of Space: Positive Space- the area the shapes or forms take-up. Negative Space- the area between the spaces and forms
What is the negative space?
