Prologue Tuesday: A prologue is an introduction to a story that usually sets the tone and acts as a bit of a backgrounder or a sneak peek into the story. Prologues are typically a narrative spoken by one of the characters and not from the part of the author. The first few minutes of the movie National Treasure is a prologue. The young Ben, while in his grandfather's attic, hears the story of the treasure and the family legacy. The next thing you know it's 30 years later and a full-grown Ben is looking for a sunken boat in the snow.
