Matthew 16:24-27 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. 25 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every man according to his deeds.

1. Deny yourself Matthew 16:24 (NASB) Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself… Galatians 2:20 New American Standard Bible (NASB) I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

2 Corinthians 5:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Deny yourself 2 Corinthians 5:17 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. Galatians 6:15 New American Standard Bible (NASB) For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. It’s not from the outside in, but from the inside out that you deny yourself.

Philippians 2:6-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Deny yourself Philippians 2:6-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB) who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. He denied Himself so He could live as we live, so when we deny ourselves we can live how He lives.

Deny yourself 2 Corinthians 5:21 New American Standard Bible (NASB) He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. Luke 22:42 New American Standard Bible (NASB) saying, “Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

2. Take up your Cross Matthew 16:24 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross… Luke 9:23 New American Standard Bible (NASB) And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me. Taking up the cross is a daily thing. Not religiously like a checklist, but as in the relationship we have with him.

Take up your Cross Matthew 27:32 New American Standard Bible (NASB) As they were coming out, they found a man of Cyrene named Simon, whom they pressed into service to bear His cross. 1 Corinthians 10:23 New American Standard Bible (NASB) All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify. Ephesians 5:2 New American Standard Bible (NASB) and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

Take up your Cross Matthew 11:29-30 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Psalm 68:19 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burden, The God who is our salvation. Selah.

3. Follow Me Mark 8:34 New American Standard Bible (NASB) And He summoned the crowd with His disciples, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. John 6:66-68 New American Standard Bible (NASB) As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. 67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “You do not want to go away also, do you?” 68 Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life.

Follow Me Matthew 19:29 New American Standard Bible (NASB) And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord— 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight— 8 we are of good courage, I say, and prefer rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord.

Follow Me Genesis 12 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; 2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing; 3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Worship Team please come up

Follow Me Genesis 12:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB) So Abram went forth as the Lord had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. Mark 10:21 New American Standard Bible (NASB) Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
