Presentation transcript:

 Mobile application development is similar to Web application development and has its roots in more traditional software development. However, is that mobile applications (apps) are often written specifically to take advantage of the unique features a particular mobile device offers.

Research and Discovery Determine Mobile App Goals and Objectives Wireframes and Storyboards Establishing the Backend of Your Mobile App Finalize The Wireframe and Testing the Prototype Developing the App Test and recheck Ready for launch

 One of the most important phases is the Discovery Phase. This phase gives us an insight of the business goals, objectives for marketing, list of all the features, deciding on targeting the user base and helps us to know how viable the app is from the perspective of the business.

 In today’s world, having a mobile app to reach your audience and support your organization’s mission is almost a business imperative. Developing the app software itself though, is just one piece of the overall project.

 When making an app, you need to wireframe it early on because this is how you start to bring your ideas to life. Without wire framing, making an app that people want to use (and that developers want to build) may as well be like hitting the lottery.

 A traditional back-end architecture includes an application server, web server and a database at the core

 Creating a wireframe gives the client, developer and designer an opportunity to take a critical look at the structure of the app and allows them to make revisions early in the process. And after that the testing part will be done

 Actually developing the app involves a number of steps and processes. If you aren’t using an app development platform or mobile BaaS provider, your developer will have to set up the actual storage solutions, databases, APIs, and servers for the backend of your app.

 This is an exciting time in the app development lifecycle—you finally have a complete app concept with exciting graphics and perfectly placed text. Now you need to rigorously test your app in a variety of real-world scenarios to sniff out and correct any technical flaws.

 The steps you take to prepare for your app launch may have the greatest effect on its ultimate success, and getting your marketing department involved early in the process is one of the most important.
