Programme Advisory Committee Meeting (PAC) of Teacher Education Directorate of Samagra Shiksha (School Education ) Jammu and Kashmir

Physical Target Achieved Teacher Trainings Conducted during 2018-19 by SIEs/DIETs (Kashmir Division) SIE, Kashmir during the current Financial year conducted 10 Training Programmes. 150 Teaching Personnel from all the regions viz; Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh has been trained in Content Development Workshop (AAGHAAZ- DIKSHA) under approved training programmes of Samagra Shiksha. Following Training Programme cum Workshops were conducted and organized by State Institute of Education, Kashmir during the current year 2018-19 S. State Institute of Education, Kashmir Training Programmes/ Workshops conducted by Examination Wing, State Institute of Education, Kashmir during the year 2018 by SIE Kashmir 1 01 Day Workshop was conducted on 16-05-2018 with regard to the Preparation of Hindi Syllabus for classes 5th to 9th 2 T1 Examination Stands conducted during the month of June-July 2018 for classes 5th to 9th 3 The T2 examination for classes 5th to 9th stands culminated on 14th Nov, 2018. In case of those students who missed the examination due to un-conducive circumstances in some areas , the examination was also conducted for said students separately without wasting time. The result of said classes’ stands declared and analysis stands shared with the DSEK. 4 One day workshop on Basic Education on 13th Nov. 2018 was conducted in collaboration with MGNCRE MHRD GOI 5 02 Days Workshop on Development and Dissemination of Learning Outcomes in J&K in which 50 participants have actively participated was conducted successfully. 6 03 Days Workshop for training of Master trainers/ MIS Coordinators conducted on 30th to 1st November, 2018 7 01 Day Awareness cum Interactive Programme on Learning Outcome conducted on 13th October, 2018 8 9 05 Days Master Development Training Programme- under Gandhiji’s Nai- Taleem- MGNCRE. 40 participants from different DIETs have participated in the programme. Training Programs by Samagra Shiksha During 2017-18 (Elementary Level) Refresher in-service teacher training for 52793 teachers teaching class I to V conducted in partnership with Pratham under the flagship programme PARVAAZ. Quality Interventions implemented to improve Educational Scenario The following activities are implemented : Supplementary material to promote classroom learning Science and Math kits both at elementary and secondary level Development of supplementary material under DIKSHA Subject Specific training Providing of Text Book and Uniform Activity based teacher training Aids and Appliances for Differently abled children Visits outside state to the institutions of excellence like IT,IITs, Universities, Schools etc Providing of ICT and Smart Classrooms Extending teacher training through JKKN Professional courses for Untrained teachers Digitalization of the contents

Linkages between students performance and Teachers incentives Increment of teachers related to their performance in the annual examination Best preforming students are being awarded Teacher awards and ICT awards introduced to improve the outcome of the teaching by teachers Career progression on performance basis under consideration of the Government

Status of (D.EL.ED) Programme for In-service Untrained under graduate teachers 6620 (offline mode) In-service Untrained under graduate teachers have been enrolled for 2 yrs (D.EL.ED) Programme with NIOS. 880 under graduated teachers are enrolled in the DIETs for (D.EL.ED) course. 9545 teachers enrolled ONLINE for (D.EL.ED) courses for NIOS. This shall complete 100% achievement for having trained professional teachers teaching at the elementary level. The degree of these teachers is expected to be completed by next financial year.

Status of (B.Ed) Programme for In-service untrained graduates teachers 19968 Graduate teachers enrolled with IGNOU for completion of the professional degree. The 1st Yr. examination of these candidates scheduled from 8th December 2018
