Linking Verbs and Introduction Oral Worm Up! The sky is blue. Can you find the verb? The verb is…. “is”. The verb is links the sky with the color to describe it. Note booking: Write this in your Language Art Spiral. Linking Verbs is a verb that does not show action. The verb be is a linking verb. The verb be has special forms in the present tense (is, am, and are).

I am; am/he/she/it; boys/you/we/ they are. Examples: I am; am/he/she/it; boys/you/we/ they are.

Practice Number 1 Rule: Always read directions carefully Write am, is or are to complete each sentences. Charlie am a cat. (am, is, are) I are a child. (am, is, are) The new cats is nice.
