The Silk Road An international trade route from China to Europe and the Mediterranean Sea

The Silk Road also known as the Silk Route The name comes from China’s major product for trade which was very profitable. The Silk Road provided the opportunities for different cultures to interact, trade goods and as a way to spread religion, philosophies, technology and unfortunately diseases as well (the plague). The Great Wall was extended to help protect the trade route.
