Write your verdict and explain what convinced you to reach your decision. Be prepared to share your verdict with the class.

The Real Verdict The jury acquitted Captain Preston and on December 5, six of the soldiers were also acquitted. Two of the eight soldiers were found guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter. Matthew Kilroy and Hugh Montgomery were convicted of manslaughter in the deaths of Samuel Gray and Crispus Attucks. Each was branded on his hand and released.
