Read Aloud: “Bears Out There,” by Joanne Ryder Based on the title, what do you think this story is about? This story is realistic fiction about a boy who imagines the bears that live in the woods near his home. Black bears are wild animals that live in the forests of North America. They eat plants, berries, fish, and small animals. When bears find places where food is abundant, they often wear trails through the forests to those spots. 2/15/2019
