4 Principles that define sociocultural levels of analysis—evident today? 1. Human Beings are social animals 2. Culture influences behavior. 3. Humans have a social self 4. Peoples views of the world are resistant to change

Stereotypes, Prejudice, Discrimination: what’s the difference? Stereotype – a general belief about a group of people (positive/negative) Prejudice – a negative learned attitude toward a group of people Discrimination – negative behaviors directed at a specific group of people
