Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) YES. DBP is used as a plasticiser in resins and polymers such as PVC. In flexible PVC the typical phthalate content ranges from 35 – 45%. DBP is also used in printing inks, adhesives, sealants, nitrocellulose paints, film coatings and glass fibres. Bis (2-ethyl(hexyl)phthalate) (DEHP) YES. DEHP is widely used as a plasticiser in polymers products, mainly PVC. In flexible PVC the typical phthalate content ranges from 30 to 45% w/w. DEHP is also used in adhesives and sealants, paints and lacquers, printing inks and in advanced ceramic materials for capacitors and other electronic components. Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCDD) YES. HBCDD is used as an additive flame retardant in high impact polystyrene (HIPS) which is found in electrical housings and distribution boxes. The HBCDD content in HIPS range from 5 to 7% SCCP - Alkanes, C10-13, chloro (Short Chain Chlorinated Paraffins) POSSIBLE.
