Importance of Vocal In Kathak Dance Start of kathak Dance by Vocal- Stuti, Shaloka or Vandana Vocal is a Key element in Expressional Part of Kathak Dance. No words- No sense of Expressions for viewer. Presentation of Bhajans,Thumari,Trivat,Chaturang etc.in Kathak Depend on Vocal Music.

Importance of Instrumental in Kathak Dance Tala and Laya are two major factor for any Dance Performance. Equal speed of time is called laya and Tala is a meter to calculate laya. Instruments play a vital role for this calculation. A systemized and successful performance is result of instruments played in it. Instruments which are used in Kathak Dance are: Tabla Harmonium Sarangi Flute Manjira Ghungroos
