The importance of Healthy diet

Fats, oils, sweets and junk food The first group is fats, oils, sweets and junk food This group consists of unhealthy foods like hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, chocolates, candies and drinks like coca-cola, beer, sprite and milkshake. They provide very little or no essential vitamins and minerals that your body needs Limiting these is recommended for your well- being

Milk, yogurt and cheese The second food group is Milk, yogurt and cheese The key nutrient is calcium which helps to build strong teeth and bones. You can find calcium in milk, yogurt and cheese. If you are a young kid between the ages of 9 and 18, you would need an extra intake of calcium due to the fact that your body requires large intake of calcium to develop strong bones.

Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans and eggs This group helps you to provide iron and protein They help you to provide iron and protein which give you strong muscles You can find them in beef, chicken, turkey, pork (not bacon), fish and beans

Vegetable group This group consists of carrots, eggplant, pumpkin, tomato, avocado, broccoli,. Just remember, that the darker colored vegetables have more nutrients such as fiber and vitamin .

Fruits group Fruits help you to provide a lots of Vitamin C which helps you to develop a strong immune system, keep your skin healthy. Some examples of nutritious fruits include orange, kiwi, watermelon, banana, guava etc.

Grain group The sixth group of food is grain and it helps you to provide heat and energy for your body as it contains carbohydrates That includes bread, rice, pasta and cereals

Conclusion In conclusion, it is important to maintain a balanced diet as each group of food provides essential nutrients to your body You have to keep in mind that; Too much in anything is bad You have to exercise regularly You must drink 6 to 8 glasses of water per day to help digest the food
