Objectives To create an Essential Question for the exit project research paper. To submit the Essential Question to engrade.

What is an Essential Question? It is the step in between your preliminary and extensive notes. It will guide your extensive research It will link your 3 assigned or selected topics around a common theme. The EQ will be the title of your research paper.

How do you create an Essential Question??? Read the Essential Question page in your OVERVIEW PACKET for samples. Watch the video for tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sDfVOIZ2tU8 What was helpful from the video? What are questions you have about the video or EQ’s?

Independent Reading Flip to the following page in your packet or download the attachment from the class website: Creating an Essential Question. Read the page Write down any questions you have about the essential question.

Cooperative Learning Bring your laptop and project folder/packet to someone that is working on your same topic. Brainstorm 2 separate essential questions based upon your topic as either People Events Decisions Think about how your research/notes will connect to the essential question.
