TKAM Essay: Conclusion & Bibliography After drafting the introductory and body paragraphs, it is time to consider how to end your essay. The concluding paragraph functions in much the same way as the introductory paragraph. It retells the reader what they just read and emphasizes the main topics and narrowed thesis of the essay. However, whereas the introductory paragraph begins broadly with a hook and narrows down to the thesis statement, the concluding paragraph does the opposite. There are three parts to the concluding paragraph: Rephrased Thesis Summary of Main Points Broad/Universal Statement
