But first... A brief word on deadlines...

Working quickly and individually, supply as many definitions (and, where possible, one example per definition) of the terms as you can. No conferring; no “research”!

Now, compare with a partner – 5-10 definitions you were unsure of (if necessary). 5-10 terms: look up in a reference work.
