High School Assistant Position What is it? Program that’s recruiting HS students to work as camp assistants. You will help teachers lead science sessions for students in 2nd- 8th grade. This years theme is The Science of Space. Not many requirements! Multiple locations in Wake County with varying time slots. There are morning and afternoon sessions. How do I apply? Salary : $8.25. Duke University Volunteering What is it? The Junior Volunteer Summer Program provides youths, ages 14 to 17, the opportunity to experience a variety of activities in a hospital setting. As they assist and comfort our patients and visitors, junior volunteers learn valuable lessons that they will use throughout their adult lives. This program is only offered during the summer months How do I apply? The REX VolunTEEN Program gives teenagers the opportunity to contribute to the community while also exploring the medical environment The assignments are made during the interview process and teens can work in patient care units, daycare, office support, the recovery room, and more. How do I apply? For High School sophomores ages 14-18. Registration ends February 23rd. Instead of making bullet lists for stating why you want to be a volunteer, you should try to focus on one main reason, and formulate all your other ideas around this reason, so it makes you seem like you are really passionate about this field and volunteering there.
