Try-Outs Take both the “See the USA in your Chevrolet” music and the audition sheet. One is there for you to practice while you wait and the other is there to turn in BEFORE auditions start.

Your Daily “To Do” List: Get here and be in your seat ON TIME Do NOT run around the auditorium Always leave out of the door closest to the cafeteria Do not leave your seat until Mr. Martin dismisses the class NEVER make fun of another singer and always encourage them no matter how you think they sound

Listen to the Podcasts? The First Martin Podcast was about WARM-UPS…I am giving 5 points to anyone who listens to it!!!!!!!! All you have to do is write a short paragraph on what I talked about. The second Podcast is about Vocal Health. Those of you doing your project on that subject should take a listen! Also, I am giving out another 5 points for this Podcast!

Sopranos and Altos Neither one is better than the other. Sopranos and Altos are decided by voice type. Ex. – Where the beautiful part of your voice is not by how good you are.

VIDEO FORMS Concert Video Forms are on the table by the stage. Take one if you need it. They need to be turned in at the end of March. If you don’t turn it in you won’t be in the video.

THINGS TO TRY OUT FOR: Characters – A character is someone who, in the concert, has a part but does not have a solo. They may be serious, or funny, happy, or sad.. Soloists – A soloist must tryout for a singing role. One where they will be the sole voice singing in a song or a choral number. They should research what that soloist sings and how they should act. • Walk-ons- These are small roles handed out by Mr. Martin to people who he thinks have acting talent and need a part to get them started. There may or may not be these parts available.
