Another Skeleton Overview Thesis Statement (may be multiple sentences) Primary Quote (a quote of substance…significance) Analysis (discuss how the quote connects to the thesis)

An Example Thesis: In A Raisin In The Sun, Lorraine Hansberry illustrates how the American Dream is attainable, but first how we must eliminate oppression and injustice to allow all to achieve their dreams.

Primary Quote #1: “The only people in the world who are more snobbish than rich white people are rich colored people,” (p.49). Analysis: Beneatha, in this quote, illustrates how one’s desire to get ahead in life can even cause people of the same race to turn against one another, a clear sign of ongoing oppression and being held down. In the quest for the American Dream, humans will even turn on their own.
