Who participates? Students grades 3-12 may participate in the Technology division. Projects may be individual or teams of two (2) persons. There are 12 categories to choose from to enter. The first place winner(s) of each category by grade level will go to state.

What is a project? Designed and created by students No notebook or display board Sources must be cited Internet access may not be available Project should be able to run without connectivity Students should prepare a 10 minute presentation of their project

How is it judged?-1 Judged on: Originality Clarity Documentation Appropriateness Design All projects will be judged by the following: Originality—Was the entry original, creative, and imaginative in content and implementation? Clarity—Was the student presentation to the judge clear? (Nervousness will not count against the student) Documentation—Did the student receive and document all required permissions? Appropriateness—Was the technology/software used appropriately matched? Design—Does the overall design support the project purpose?

How is it judged?-2 Demonstrates an understanding of the software Explains the various aspects of the creation process Defends choice of software Answers judges’ question At the time of the judging, students will be required to: Demonstrate an understanding of the software as it relates to the project. Explain the various aspects of the creation of the project. Defend their choice of software for the project. Answer judges' questions about the project.
