What is Naviance Succeed? A web-based tool that includes a suite of applications that enable schools and families to build and manage personalized learning plans for each student that align with college and career readiness objectives. Naviance brings together innovative planning tools that help students establish short and long-term goals, take ownership of their academic choices, and become more engaged in what they’re learning by connecting it to their future. It will enable teachers, counselors, administrators and families to collaborate with students on a daily basis as they chart their future paths and work toward college and career readiness.

ENSURES GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS ARE MET While enabling the student to appropriately plan and see the connection between their coursework and goals is of paramount importance, we still need to ensure that graduation requirements our met. With credit and pre-requisite alerts, we can ensure that students’ create plans that meet graduation requirements and follow an appropriate pre-requisite path.

COLLEGE POWER SCORE & STEP UP The college power score is a very insightful tool that judges course rigor of potential course plans against potential admission into various kinds of schools. Students will be able to compare their course rigor to the average course rigor of accepted students at the colleges they are interested in. This helps to encourage students to take a more rigorous courses. After creating their course plan they can “scan” their plan and compare it to different schools they have an interest in. In addition to the college power score, students will also receive Step Up alerts on their course plans. Theses alerts scan test score history and recommend increased rigor in relevant subject areas.

VALUABLE INSIGHT FOR STUDENTS & FAMILIES Our solution gives parents and students valuable insight into the college admissions process, and let the students know all of their possible options. The scatter gram is an example of our valuable tools. It is based on your schools data and demonstrates the probability of the student getting into a school based on their Test Scores and GPA.

EASY ACCESS TO SCHOLARSHIP & COLLEGE VISIT INFORMATION A critical part of college readiness includes being prepared financially. Rather than doing random Google searches hoping to find something, students browse scholarships here, and even match themselves to the scholarships for which they’d most likely qualify based on categories such as academic, athletic, minority, and so on. We provide a link to Sally Mae national scholarships, but as a district you can also upload information about local scholarships.

MANAGE ALL ASPECTS OF COLLEGE ADMISSIONS PROCESS Students can track their college applications and clearly see what still needs to be done, make sure they’re meeting deadlines, and even make requests for important documents like their transcripts or teacher recommendations. No more grabbing Mr. Smith as he’s walking down the hallways to ask him to write a recommendation letter and hope he remembers.

TRACK ALUMNI OUTCOMES: VIEW DEGREES ATTEMPTED & EARNED Import files from the National Student Clearinghouse and then track alumni success. When this data is integrated into Naviance Succeed you can determine improvements for current students. Outcomes are the ultimate measurement of success. Did they attend college? Did they succeed in college? This is part of a holistic process to increase college and career readiness It’s important to know what happened to your graduates so you can determine how to improve programs for your existing students This is just the beginning of many new features we intend to add to support alumni tracking and outcomes measurement Currently this is all about importing the data from the National Student Clearinghouse. There is no other way to get the data in. A school must sign up with NCS and pay $425 for one year of participation The school may upload as many student records as they want during that year The school will receive reports and individual student data from NCS We provide a way to import the individual student data A school must have Essentials+ in order to access this functionality
