Technology Review Process

Why do the Technology Review Process?

Want to make sure university, instructor, and student data is secure and handled safely. Abide by FERPA, and in some cases HIPAA, secure instructor intellectual property and student work.

There’s a balance of time to get through the approval process, so we recommend getting to your IT Director early to start the process. If you request it from the ICON Team, we’ll say to go back to your college’s director. College’s IT directors are part of the budget process, and need to be aware of what software (free or paid) is in use in their areas.
