II. Final Days in Vietnam January 1973 - Paris Peace Accords Cease-fire but N. Vietnamese troops would remain in S. Vietnam United States was to remove troops and dismantle US bases

III. Painful Legacy Americans developed growing distrust towards gov. Returning veterans faced indifference and hostility - Many developed post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) 1982: Vietnam Veterans Memorial began the healing process for Americans
